Better hearing begins with understanding where you are today.  Our comprehensive hearing evaluations go beyond a simple screening.  We take the time to listen to your concerns, review your health history and perform a full diagnostic assessment to measure how well you hear across different frequencies and environments.  

The device matters - but the care behind it matters more.  At Show-Me Hearing Consultants, we believe hearing aids are tools, not the solution by themselves.  The true difference in hearing success comes from the expert fitting, programming, counseling and follow-up care you receive along the way.  Technology is only powerful when its supported with clinical precision and a provider who listens to your goals.  

We work with leading manufacturers to offer modern, high-performing devices, however, our main goal is to assess your hearing needs, your lifestyle, and how you want to hear in the real world.  Our job is not just to hand you devices or program them online - our focus is on expert fitting, verification, education and long-term hearing success. 

 During your fitting, we fine-tune your hearing aids using real-ear measurements to ensure maximum clarity and comfort.  You'll leave confident, supported and ready to hear life more fully.     

Hearing aid drop off hours: Tuesday - Thursday 8:30AM - 12:00 PM.

If your hearing aid is not working the right way it should, we can help!  Hearing aids are an investment - and when something goes wrong, you shouldn't feel stuck.  Our in-house repair lab allows us to service and troubleshoot most major hearing aid brands and models on site.  Many common issues, such as muffled sound, feedback, low volume, blocked microphones, can be resolved the same day.  For more complex repairs, older technology or internal failures, devices may need to be sent to the manufacturer.  We'll walk you through your options and help you make the best decision.  

We also offer Electroacoustic Analysis for evaluating device function and monitoring performance over time - a valuable tool for both diagnosing problems and preventing future ones. 

$30 drop-off diagnostic fee (waived for Show-Me Hearing Service Plan members):  Includes cleaning, wax removal, microphone checks and basic troubleshooting.

• If additional testing such as Electroacoustic Analysis is recommended or new parts are required, we'll provide a clear estimate before repairs begin.
• For devices requiring manufacturer-level repair, we'll help facilitate the process and review timelines/ costs together. 

Tinnitus - ringing, buzzing or hissing in the ears - can affect sleep, mood, concentration and quality of life.  At Show-Me Hearing Consultants we are here to help.  Our tinnitus evaluations include audiological testing, counseling, sound therapy options and hearing aid technology recommendations (if appropriate).  

Some sound environments need extra help.  From TV streamers to workplace recommendations or hunting protection, assistive listening devices can make communication easier and safer.  We'll help you choose the right tools for your lifestyle.

A blocked ear can make everything sound muffled, full or "underwater."  Earwax (cerumen) is normal and healthy - but when it builds up, it can interfere with hearing clarity, hearing aids and overall ear comfort.  Our professional cerumen management services provide gentle, safe ear cleaning to restore clear hearing without at-home risks.
